Liv Dawn is a singer-songwriter from Scotland who delicately blends pop and folk within her music. Much like storytelling, Liv crafts compelling tales relating to everyday life and relationships. The 23-year-old from Loch Lomond has only pursued a music career since 2019 however, Liv began writing songs at the age of eighteen by taking inspiration from the day-to-day pressures she faced. Continuing to create heartfelt, honest music in the hopes that it will resonate with her listeners, Liv's prowess to hold an audience through her powerful vocals will always provide a captivating yet intimate show.

Liv has received high praise from a number of well-known music industry personalities including Ricky Ross, Charlie Ashcroft and Jim Gellatly. Having performed at numerous acclaimed venues across Scotland such as King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and The Classic Grand in Glasgow, Sneaky Pete’s and The Mash House in Edinburgh, Liv headed to London in 2019 to busk and perform where she was spotted by McFly's very own Tom Fletcher.

Already making her mark on the Scottish music scene, Liv was selected as a finalist in the prestigious BBC Radio Scotland Singer/Songwriter of the Year Award 2019. Following Liv’s performance at the live final held at Saint Luke’s in Glasgow, one of the judges, Horse McDonald, mused that Liv’s musical ability had “grown a hundred-fold” throughout the competition. During the competition, Liv gained radio play on BBC Radio Scotland's 'Mornings With Kaye Adams' and 'The Afternoon Show With Grant Stott'. Liv was then invited to perform a live version of her finalist song 'Welcome Home' where Grant commented: “We look forward to following what is undoubtedly going to be a very exciting musical career.” Liv also received press coverage from the BBC, Scottish Field, Daily Record, Alive and Gigging and the Observer.

With a successful start to 2020 by supporting Tom Walker on his U.K. Home Run Tour in February, Liv was announced on festival line-ups including Glasgow's Country to Country Festival and HowTheLightGetsIn Festival in Wales. In March, Liv was also invited to take part in Scotland's first all-female songwriting camp hosted by pop artist Be Charlotte and spent a two-day retreat writing alongside other talented female songwriters. Despite the pressing times of lockdown, Liv hosted and participated in livestream shows with Discovery Music and The Sofathon Singalong, raising funds for Music Venue Trust. Liv then released her award finalist song 'Welcome Home' in December 2020 and collected acclaim from many online publications and radio including Amazing Radio and Chris Country Radio.

Recently graduating with a first class honours degree from The Academy of Music and Sound Glasgow, Liv was awarded the Academy's Rev Hammer Songwriting Award for her portfolio of songs. Liv concluded 2021 by headlining The Hug and Pint in Glasgow and plans on releasing a meaningful folk-tingled EP in Summer 2022.
