Absuma

Absuma is a folk-psych band from Littlehampton. Gritty. Joyful. Rough around the edges. Led by Simon Keet. He has ankylosing spondylitis. Plays like every show might be the last.

The band sounds like Fleetwood Mac if they had a day job. Harmonies that cut through. Songs that feel like home and war at the same time.

They play in a tunnel under Chichester. People show up. They always do. First ticketed gig—sold out. RADIO REVERB gave them a spin. Doesn’t matter much. They’d still be playing.

The name? AB – SU – MA. Abraham. Susan. Maureen. Simon’s grandfather named the house. The band took the name. It’s blood.
