OVERVIEW

Bone-Idle is an indie rock band based in Reading UK. With influences ranging from artists like The Smashing Pumpkins, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Wolf Alice, Sam Fender and Arctic Monkeys. Bone-Idle formed in Reading in the aftermath of lockdown, when four friends with too much time and not enough hobbies decided to make noise together. Out of those sessions came a sound that blends gritty riffs, heavy rhythms and atmospheric hooks — the basis for their growing reputation as a sharp, high-energy live act (which can be seen in their live headline set from the purple turtle reading YouTube). Frontman Braidan Casey on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Alfie Cook lead guitar and keys. On bass and backing vocals, Jake Finkel. Olly Marshall brings it home as the heartbeat of the band playing drums and percussion. Bone-Idle have caught the ear of BBC Introducing Berkshire, with their single Stones and their debut EP The Matter—featuring tracks such as Listen Now and Whistle in the Dark—all earning radio play and recognition. This support has helped cement the band’s reputation across the scene. They're also an award winning band for Radio wigwams breakthrough artist of the year 2025!
